The Wine Scamp has worked as an English teacher in Mexico City, a canvasser for Greenpeace in Cincinnati, and a wine sales rep in the US Virgin Islands; she currently works for a general contractor in Austin, Texas. She is a Certified Specialist of Wine through the Society of Wine Educators and taught a wine class for 3 years. She’s never been a chef, but she lived with one for a long time, and thinks that should count. When she’s not reading about, thinking on, or tasting wine, she enjoys cooking, Scrabble, and camping trips with her husband. She’s originally from Portland, Oregon and misses it.
